Ak runs the largest car rental firm in turkey and owns the istanbul park circuit (home to formula one in turkey): with their construction site based in the shipping industry district near gölcük, akyacht can build two 100 metre yachts at the same time.
Turkish shipyard Akyacht has announced the sale of a contract for the build of a 100-metre-plus superyacht. The project is not only the biggest undertaking by the shipyard to date but is set to be the largest superyacht built in Turkey, a new milestone for both the shipyard and the Turkish Yachting Industry.
The new build was commissioned by an experienced owner and will succeed the shipyard’s flagship project, the award-winning 85-metre Victorious.
“After the completion of its award-winning first breakthrough project M/Y Victorious, Akyacht announced a new contract signed for a +100-meter steel and aluminum mega yacht that combines uncompromised luxury, technology, engineering, and propulsion for a very-experienced client. The yacht will be the biggest yet built by the Turkish yards and is likely to be delivered in 2027. No further details about the yacht are known at the moment”.
“As ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Quality certificated shipyard, we prioritize environmental factors and sustainability by maintaining a high standard, quality, and safety level in all processes of this new project”.
Akyacht has released an initial line drawing, which gives little detail away. So let us briefly recall the previous construction. The 85-metre explorer yacht Victorious was equipped to provide the ultimate charter experience: delivered in Summer 2021, she brings together Michael Leach Design and H2 Yacht Design.
An entertainer’s dream, Victorious offers substantial space for entertainment. Onboard highlights include a large beach club and wellness center on the lower deck. The area is complete with a large pool, two lounge and bar areas, sea terraces on both port and starboard, as well as a gym, massage, and treatment rooms, hammam, and a beauty salon.
