[dropcap]E[/dropcap]lsea, CCN’s first 50-metre yacht, launched last spring, will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival and at the Monaco Boat Show. Featuring a light aluminium alloy hull, Elsea has been pencilled by design firm Studio Bacigalupo, while its interiors are by Studio Vafiadis. Imperial acted as Owner’s Representative, Construction Supervisor and Manager during the build and after the delivery.
This new yacht, characterised by an aggressive, sleek profile, can ensure outstanding performance, with a maximum speed of up to 30 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. The layout reserves large areas for conviviality, both on the main deck – where the living and dining areas as well as the full-beam master cabin can be found – and on the upper deck, which is entirely devoted to life in the open air.
The interiors explicitly draw inspiration from the ‘deco’ style, reinterpreted in a modern key. This fascinating parallelism is obtained through the use of mirroring surfaces and fine woods which, together with stylish steel details, highlight the bold shapes of the interiors and create a fascinating contrast between the different materials. Onyx, Lalique details, and precious fabrics add luxury to all areas and perfectly integrate with the furniture and furnishings, which have been made even lighter thanks to cutting-edge technological solutions to allow the boat to achieve outstanding speeds – a key feature for yachts in this class. Five spacious cabins can be found onboard, plus the spectacular Owner’s suite, characterised by impressive volumes – a wonderful private apartment that is made truly unique by its luxury and the great care devoted to the tiniest details. Worth mentioning are also the two salons, each with its own personality. The first, located on the main deck, is more formal and is furnished with a table seating 12 people; the second, on the upper deck, welcomes guests to its warm, cosy atmosphere and to a large round sofa that makes this room the ideal place for pure relaxation.
Elsea has a dynamic, cool personality, with a strong focus on outdoor spaces, endowing this yacht with an informal allure while preserving its all-pervasive refined elegance. The exterior areas have a very Mediterranean style and draw inspiration from the ‘French Riviera’, with a bar and a day toilet in both the outdoor salons and the beach club, as well as an audio system fitted with loudspeakers that could easily compete with those of the loudest Ibiza clubs. And there is more: the wide sunbathing area and the comfortable loungers around the swimming pool make this area ideal to have fun, swim and relax.
