CRN is very well-known for being a shipbuilder specialised in the design, engineering and construction of custom aluminium and steel-aluminium superyachts, with the capacity to build up to 95 metres in length, working with the owners’ vision, requirements and lifestyle.
Recognized as a pioneer and trendsetter in naval architecture and engineering, CRN has always developed iconic bespoke superyachts of immeasurable breakthrough and peerless beauty. Its innnovative solutions set the standard for sophisticated naval design and functional naval innovation, representing Italian manufacturing at the highest level.
CRN’s compelling story, with sixty years of success, remarkable ideas, and iconic vessels, has made it the outstanding brand it remains today. Every yacht is unique, first and foremost a synthesis of outstanding efficiency and performance: starting from a blank sheet for an exclusive design and construction journey experience tailored for the owners.
The latest CRN yacht to be delivered was CRN M/Y 139, a steel and aluminium pleasure vessel entirely designed, engineered and built by CRN, which left the yard in December 2023. The 72-metre yacht is an expression of the superior design and construction standards set by CRN, which developed the entire naval architecture of this completely bespoke craft.
The shipyard’s extensive expertise is joined by the experience of design and architecture studio Vallicelli Design, which created the concept and the exterior lines, and architects Nuvolari Lenard, which developed the interiors, the exterior styling and the internal layout together with CRN. The fully custom megayacht has a striking sense of style, combining functional and design solutions in a sophisticated overall harmony. The superstructure features smooth exterior lines that impart an original, elegant aesthetic. The huge external spaces are masterfully blended with the generous interiors, devised to offer the owner family a memorable on-board living experience in total privacy and comfort. Among the many standout features, the large full-height windows lend a softness to the lines, offsetting her impressive dimensions.

A dazzling combination of innovation and the finest craftsmanship, CRN M/Y 139 is the fruit of the pooled expertise at the historic Ancona Yard of our talented staff, engineers and skilled craftsmen, who work there every day to create iconic bespoke yachts that reflect the owner’s wishes, personality and style.
Another four full-custom CRN superyachts are currently under construction at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard (M/Y 143, M/Y 144, M/Y 145 and M/Y 146), the multi-brand hub in Ancona stretching over almost 80,000 sqm, around 33,000 of which indoors, where also superyachts for Riva Superyachts Division, Pershing and Custom Line brands are built.
The largest in build will also represent a new milestone for the shipyard, being also the new flagship, with its 86 metres in length. CRN M/Y 144, expected for launch in 2026, has a naval architecture developed by CRN Engineering, while the exteriors are designed by architecture studio Vallicelli Design.
THE IDEA BEHIND EACH YACHT
CRN develops innovative concept designs that transform the owner’s vision into a breathtaking pure custom superyacht through a winning blend of passion and expertise, flexibility and creativity, dependability and total commitment. The bespoke megayacht concept is infused with new meaning, reflecting the client’s wishes and designs in a genuinely creative process.
Every aspect of each vessel is crafted inch by inch, with an immaculate eye for beauty and the sublime, taking care of the subtlest details. The CRN project management team of each yacht works closely with the Owner, his representative and surveyor to transform his personal views into reality. Each CRN vessel is the result of elite R&D team, cutting-edge technology and masterly construction skills. CRN is a pioneer of a panoply of functional solutions and aesthetic innovations, continuing to raise the bar throughout the yachting world.
Also the other three yachts presented here, currently under construction in Ancona, represent this philosophy very well and are witnesses of one of the latest key actions in the shipyard’s strategic expansion project, that is the opening in December 2023 of the new executive office building for Ferretti Group’s metal superyachts division, covering an area of around 4,200 square metres. The building brings together the company’s identity, history and know-how in an innovative and highly recognisable industrial architecture project, combining aesthetics, functionality and sustainability in a workplace designed for wellbeing. The spaces, exuding elegance and sophistication, are just the beginning of an immersive experience into the journey of creating a pleasure vessel. The idea to convey is that the shipyard is like a CRN megayacht, with elements that echo Italian aesthetics and the functionality, comfort, noble materials and exquisitely bespoke qualities.
67m CRN M/Y 143 Project Maranello has naval architecture developed by CRN Engineering, together with Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard, also responsible for the exclusive exterior and interior design. The launch is expected soon, at the end of 2024.

The vessel continue to underline the commitment to a eco-conscious engineering thanks to its Peak Shaving System, an energy-saving solution that keeps the electricity curve as flat as possible.
Last May the hull was transported by sea on a barge to the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, where after the preparatory works, the artisans’ expert hands will take care of the carpentry, the fitting-out, the machinery, the onboard systems and equipment, before the installation of the furniture.
This new megayacht with its classic, timeless line and a striking sense of style that fully reflects her owner’s vision and requirements for a pleasure ship suited to long, pleasurable, contemplative cruises and as the perfect support vessel for sailing regattas.
67-metre CRN M/Y Project 146 has streamlined exterior lines and elegant aesthetics. CRN Engineering has realized the naval architecture, while Nuvolari Lenard studio, at their 10th collaborations with the shipyard, designed both exteriors and interiors. The sale was negotiated in April 2024 by brokers Moran Yacht & Ship, which also play a key role as the Owner’s representative and project management team.
This new build, whose launch is expected in 2027, is a pleasure vessel combining bespoke craftsmanship and innovation with a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system for greater energy efficiency and significantly reduced fuel consumption. Sleek, streamlined exterior lines imbue this megayacht with an elegant aesthetic, reflecting the owner’s vision and requirements.
Standout features include spacious outdoor entertainment spaces, a dive center and an extensive beach club. The upper deck will host a touch-and-go helipad. The heat recovery system allows the thermal energy from the generators to heat the water in the pools, the water boilers and the deck washing system, helping reduce fuel consumption. ∎
