The London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show, the newborn must-event in the Yachting & Luxury Industry. Participating in the event in London were the most famous international brands that include not only shipyards, but also producers of private jets and prestigious automobiles.
The event took place last week in the world’s richest city. According to a survey last March by The Sunday Times “Rich List”, London is home to more than twice the number of millionaires and billionaires than any other city on earth. The UK capital is one of the most important global hubs for the luxury goods market, attracting wealthy individuals from around the world. The event, in perfect timing for the summer season, ahead of planned yacht charters and purchases, welcomed enthusiasts gathered to view over 120 world leading luxury exhibitors and all visitors to this exclusive event – buyers, owners and tourists – were treated to displays of ultimate luxury assets from the world’s leading companies.
The ultimate bespoke event – A three-day show devoted to the world of UHNWI (ultra-high net worth individuals) in the world’s capital of business and luxury, against the splendid backdrop of Old Billingsgate on the banks of the River Thames, in the heart of the City of London. The event was developed under the concept of “bringing the luxury lifestyle to the visitor” – delivered on their doorstep – to where they live and work each day! Only at its very first edition, the London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show has already been recognized by the entire luxury industry as a must-event and it is now expected to become one of the top kermesse worldwide. The Show was attended by the world’s leading luxury yacht builders & brokers, yacht charter agents, yacht & interior designers, private jet manufacturers, jet charter agents, luxury car manufacturers and many others.
The cars were certainly a big hit with visitors with custom Range Rovers from Kahn Design flanking the red carpet entrance, and McLarens, Nobles and Aston Martins taking centre stage in the super car grid. Vesaro brought a Formula 1 simulator which is proving hugely popular.
The show also hosted a number of ‘fashion experiences’ with leading designers and exceptional talent and vision from the fashion industry.
The 3-day event, sponsored by Ulysse Nardin and Willis attracted an exceptional number of visitors with the show arena at Old Billingsgate being a hub of activity in B2B and B2C markets.
Over at the second venue at St Katharine Docks, the show was blessed with sunshine and perfect conditions for the in-water event and provided the perfect location for the luxury yachts and small craft on display. Complementing the yachts, a collection of luxury companies showcased at Marble Quay – an element to complement the in-water show.
Peter Bryant, Event Director of this inaugural show said: “We needed the right location to provide both a natural setting for the in-water element of the show and a prestigious backdrop for our international visitors, and St Katharine Docks was the obvious choice. This is a major luxury lifestyle event spanning two iconic central London locations and the first of its kind in the capital.” In addition to yachts, cars and jets, there is plenty to see for the connoisseurs of luxury fine living, with exhibitions ranging from bespoke furniture, jewellery, audio entertainment systems to high fashion and design.
