[dropcap]I[/dropcap]talian shipyard ISA Yachts (Palumbo Superyachts) has sold to an European customer the second unit of the 45-meter superyacht of the GT – GRAN TURISMO series. The yacht will be delivered in summer 2021. The naval architecture is by the technical office of Palumbo Superyachts, while the exterior design is by Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi whereas Luca Dini Design & Architecture will be responsible for the interior.
This new model, with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, is designed to combine style, sportiness and dynamism.
“Without a doubt it is a year full of satisfaction and this rewards us for the great investment made in terms of new models, infrastructures and management” commented Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts. “In 2019, we delivered 5 superyachts, including the new flagship Columbus Classic 80 meters M/Y Dragon, and we are building 8 new boats between 26 and 67 metres: for me, this is synonymous of professionalism, expertise, quality and respect of deadlines. The challenges are still many but the evidence demonstrates what we are capable of designing and building”.
Enrico Gobbi has revisited the exterior traits that make ISA Yachts so unmistakable, such as the large external arches connecting the hull to the superstructure, and he has enriched the profile with distinctive details such as the elaborate air intakes, evoking the sports cars.
The silhouette is slender, with sharp and flowing lines. The volume of the superstructure has been deliberately pushed aft to recall the proportions of a true big sports coupe.
Despite her streamlined look, ISA GT 45 hides large interior volumes able to accommodate 8 guests in 4 spacious cabins in addition to the luxurious full-beam master cabin, with a balcony and a private access directly onto the bow sunbathing area.
The large windows chase each other along the profile, ensuring breathtaking views from the master cabin and the main saloon.
ISA GT 45 has a crew of up to 7 and a range of 3,500 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots.
Among her most outstanding features is definitely worth a mention the aft swimming pool, the largest ever seen on a yacht this length, as well as the beach club/ gym with glass doors at sea level.
The interior style designed by Luca Dini is contemporary, the right balance between precious and natural materials with “high-tech” inserts like carbon, mainly used in the custom-made furniture that confers this superyacht timeless elegance and refined emotions.
