Brand of Palumbo Superyachts, ISA YAchts has announced the start of construction of hull and superstructure of the new 80-metre ISA CONTINENTAL. Palumbo Superyachts has planned to build this on-spec construction, with interior design and customization activities scheduled for summer 2021, in order to be ready to deliver the yacht in summer 2023. This decision is part of a new strategic plan of investment developed by the company. Reducing delivery lead-times is an increasingly critical aspect in the shipowners’ decision-making process, in particular for the construction of megayachts over 70-80 metres.
The ISA brand has always been synonym for excellence and quality and the 34 superyachts, between 30 and 67 metres delivered from 2002 to date, actually prove it.
ISA Continental 80 will be the brand’s new flagship and will benefit from a consolidated platform as well as Palumbo Group’s fifty-year know-how. It will also be the largest ‘on spec’ yacht under construction and sale in Italy.
In the last five years Palumbo Superyachts’ strategy has shown a great determination to invest in large projects such as the acquisition of the Italian shipyards ISA in Ancona and Mondomarine in Savona, the creation of the new EXTRA brand, the investment of over € 6 million for acquiring the largest Syncrolift in the Adriatic Sea.
Palumbo Superyachts can rely on a network of 5 shipyards scattered through the Mediterranean (Ancona, Savona, Naples, Marseille and Malta) all providing owners with professional services ranging from design to construction, and following with after-sale support and maintenance/refit assistance.
Currently are 6 the superyachts from 26 to 65 metres under construction at the Ancona shipyard, whereas amounts to a hefty 150 the number of boats from 24 to 100 metres that from September 2019 to date have relied on maintenance or refit services from the whole network.
The CONTINENTAL range, designed for ISA Yachts by Arch. Enrico Gobbi, Team for Design, comes in two versions of 80 and 65 metres.
ISA CONTINANTAL 80 is a very architectural steel and aluminium yacht with well balanced volumes and streamlined lines. Its external design is highlighted by squared and rigorous windows for incredibly panoramic views from all the main indoor areas.
A distinctive detail is given by the terraces in the central section of the boat; in particular, the one on the Upper Deck looks like a real balcony and lets more light flood the living room.
Other strategic areas are just as brightly lit, like the gym in the Sky-lounge and the lounges on the Upper and Main Deck. Another emblematic feature of this yacht is the stern infinity pool. Its rectangular shape spans the beam of the deck and stands out for its aft wall formed by 2 glass sheets with water cascading between them.
So arranged, the swimming pool leaves ample room for large sunpads and lounging, transforming this portion of the Main Deck into an extension of the actual beach area to which is connected by a flight of stairs. The Upper Deck can be considered a proper owner’s deck with lounge and living areas astern and the master suite forward.
Equipped also with touch-&-go landing, the yacht ensures direct access to the owner’s quarters for maximum privacy.
The interiors will be designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture and will include 7 cabins accommodating up to 12 passengers assisted by 19 crew members housed in 10 cabins. The yacht is equipped with two MTU 16V4000M63L engines reaching a 17-knot maximum speed and a 12-knot cruising speed with a range of 6200 nautical miles.
