After the delivery of M/Y Run Away last week, Baglietto records another success and announces the sale of the second hull in the DOM LINE. Designed by Stefano Vafiadis , this new 40m yacht marks a new step in the long-term relationship between Baglietto and Fernando Nicholson of Camper & Nicholsons representing the buyer. This sale has encouraged the shipyard to start the construction – on speculation – of a third sistership including standard hybrid propulsion for delivery in Spring 2023.
‘DOM’ stands for Domus, meaning “home” in Latin. Indeed, the idea of a ‘home away from home’ lies at the core of this series of mid-size, aluminum cruisers modelled around the functional and lifestyle needs of modern yacht owners. The line presents a distinctive family feeling by combining contemporary exterior lines inspired by automotive design with generous interior volumes and extensive open-air spaces.
The DOM133 is the largest model in the DOM line. Powered with two Caterpillar C32 engines capable to reach a considerable 17 knots max speed, this 40-meter motor yacht is an ocean-going passage maker with a shallow draft (2,10 m – 7ft) and aluminum hull that has been tank tested to seakeeping and efficiency. With an 8.70m beam (29ft), the DOM133 has a very generous interior volume and boasts an impressive array of lifestyle features not common in yachts of this size. The main deck layout, for instance, has been developed to ensure optimal flow between the interior and the exterior areas while also enhancing the convivial atmosphere. The main salon features full-height and openable panoramic windows as a natural extension of the open aft deck. Another major feature is the panoramic glass staircase integrated in the main deck. An amazing 2-levels beach club with flush pool completes the unique layout.
