Established since 1985, Silverlining has been creating furniture masterpieces coveted by the world’s rich and famous, including David Bowie, Kevin Costner and Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei.
The handcrafted pieces, featuring state-of-the designs and exclusive materials are often found in palaces, private residencies, galleries and on superyachts around the globe.
The award-winning British company, founded by furniture designer and maker, Mark Boddington, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary year and continues to push design boundaries and delight by challenging preconceptions of what 21st Century craftsmanship should be by exploring ideas that were once considered impossible.
At Silverlining, design is a harmonious combination of concept, material and finish, all working together to meet a project’s aesthetic and functional requirements within a prescribed timescale. It’s a delicate balance that begins with the simple acts of listening and learning – taking the time to understand a client’s vision and clarify the project’s objectives. Only then do Silverlining embark on their journey of pure creativity.
As part of the bespoke experience, the Silverlining team works closely with the client from initial consultation to delivery. “Like being fitted for a Saville Row suit, the cabinet is fitted to the client’s exact preferences,” Boddington says, “be it the scented odour of the materials or the colour of the integrated lighting.”
Offering an enormous choice of woods with a seemingly infinite array of grains, colours and finishes, plus numerous other materials including luxurious leathers, gleaming or aged metals, opaque and fossil stones, and cast or blown glass. The possibilities are truly endless.
