Let’s start from an assumption, Siman is a solid reality, with offices in La Spezia and Pisa, owned by an Italian family, an Italian reality that is rapidly expanding in terms of production lines, but also staff, experts and production areas. The La Spezia shipyard, active for over 35 years in naval construction and maintenance, took its first step into the mega yacht sector in 2022 with the launch of the first 45-metre, M/Y Miss Candy, and has now already four units in build. One of these was put into the water in recent days for launching and technical tests, with delivery expected soon.
The intense and solid background in carpentry work, together with a first unit already part of the market and presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2022, has laid the foundations for the shipyard’s new challenge in the megayacht sector, with its own brand and product line.
Miss Candy – characterized by an inverted bow and an explorer-style layout, with a steel hull, 45.5 meters in length and a beam of 9.20 meters (GT 390 tons) – was the first megayacht under the Siman Yachts brand.
Como 1983 is the second unit, just launched with a private event attended by some representatives of the lucky owner. The yacht shows dynamic, contemporary and sporty lines. With a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, the project and design are by the English studio Harrison Eidsgaard. The engine consists of 2 Caterpillars of 1600 horsepower each.
As for the other projects, whose naval architecture is by Axis Group Yacht Design and the external lines by Horacio Bozzo Design, there are currently under construction a 50 meter (499 GT), Enzo, a 36 meter, Evolution 36, and a 40 meter, Evolution 40.
Siman Group, in addition to the superyacht division, also operates in the civil and military sectors. In addition to the construction and outfitting of hulls, SIMAN is a leader in the repair, reconditioning and refitting of yachts and mega-yachts and vintage boats, with particular focus on sailing or motor boats, in steel or light alloy from 15 to 60 meters.
