Van Der Valk M/Y One with interiors by Carla Guilhem Design

Van der Valk Shipyard has unveiled brand-new images of its recently completed 34-metre superyacht ONE. The photoshoot superbly captures the essence of a highly sophisticated interior by Carla Guilhem Design that was superbly engineered and built by the craftsmen at the boutique Dutch yard.

The latest custom creation by Van der Valk reinforces its reputation for building genuinely unique and exceptionally high-end motoryachts up to 45 metres in length. All four decks have been designed to meet specific needs on ONE, a project which revolves around entertaining large groups of people in style on a 34-metre boat with exceptional volume.

Seamless integration – As the newly published portfolio of photographs illustrates, interior designer Carla Guilhem has used every inch to great effect. “We have given ONE a futuristic ambiance that will transport all who step aboard into an otherworldly yet welcoming environment,” she explains. “This effect is brought to life by seamlessly integrating smooth, rounded shapes and a sophisticated monochrome palette. The carefully selected trims and frames enhance the subtle neutrality of the colours, creating a refined atmosphere.

“Oval windows, sculptural chairs, a dramatic elliptical chandelier hanging from the lounge ceiling, and a recessed oval feature in the master suite all combine to shift the design from organic to beautifully imperfect geometric forms. The latest comforts and equipment are fitted across five suites as part of an interior that offers a sense of encountering something entirely new.”

Style and performance – ONE also features an exciting exterior by Guido de Groot Design showcasing straight lines, with all angles pointing in the same direction going forward and the fashion plates aft rising to the bimini in a continuous line. Innovative contributions from Ginton Naval Architects & Diana Yacht Design have ensured a performance to match her style, with twin Volvo Penta 750 hp continuous duty engines offering a top speed of 14.4 knots. ONE comes in at just under 300 GT and is rated commercial charter class without needing a rescue tender/davit.
